Deputy Jeff Isaac’s family remembered Jeff's 29th year anniversary. Jeff son Spencer (cross on his shirt) included. The Isaac Family wanted to thank the FDSA and share a few pictures that they took. While at the memorial they were met by retired FSO Deputy Kurt Rossi (black shirt with service dog), Jeff's partner from back in the day, was there along with retired Fresno PD Officer Lenny Luhan, who was in the police academy with Jeff. What a blessing and a great time of remembrance.

Today, we pause to honor and remember Fresno County Deputy Sheriff Jeff Isaac, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on September 8, 1997.
Jeff lost his life following a solo-vehicle accident near the City of Reedley, only minutes from the home where he lived with his family. The circumstances surrounding that tragic night have never been fully understood. What makes his loss even more heartbreaking is that Jeff survived the initial crash and was conscious and talking at the scene. Tragically, he later succumbed to his injuries at UMC Hospital.
Jeff left behind his loving wife, Bridgette, their young children, Spencer and Chantelle, as well as his parents, siblings, extended family, friends, and a law enforcement family who felt his loss deeply.
Those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside Jeff remember a truly good man. He was a dedicated deputy who genuinely cared about the community he served and the people around him. His positive attitude was infectious, his personality was one of a kind, and he had a natural ability to teach, mentor, and influence others—often without realizing the lasting impact he was making.
Jeff’s greatest legacy can be seen in his family. Spencer and Chantelle have grown into successful adults who continue to carry forward the values and character of their father. Jeff was an honorable man, a devoted husband and father, a trusted friend, and a respected law enforcement officer.
For those who worked alongside Jeff, his memory remains part of the history and brotherhood of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. For those who never had the opportunity to know him, we have a responsibility to continue telling his story.
Today, we remember Deputy Sheriff Jeff Isaac. We honor his life, his service, his family, and his sacrifice.
Jeff, you are deeply missed by Bridgette, Spencer, Chantelle, your family, friends, and your law enforcement family. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, brother. We have the watch from here.

On September 7, 2020, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office suffered the heartbreaking loss of Deputy Sheriff Jose Mora, who passed away from complications related to COVID-19. Jose contracted the virus in the line of duty while he and another deputy were transporting a homicide suspect from Oklahoma back to Fresno. He became ill while carrying out the responsibilities of the profession he had dedicated his life to and fought a courageous battle against the virus.

Jose proudly served 16 years with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office after previously serving 4 years as a police officer with the City of Firebaugh. Throughout his career, he served in Court Services, Patrol, and Investigations and earned the respect of those fortunate enough to work alongside him. But Jose was much more than the badge he wore. He was a friend, partner, and brother to so many of us. Once you met Jose, you quickly learned what kind of man he was. He was the person who would give you the shirt off his back, lend a helping hand without being asked, and always be there when a partner needed him.

Jose was a hardworking and dedicated deputy who cared deeply about the cases entrusted to him and the community he served. During his time in Investigations, particularly while working homicide cases, his fellow detectives could always count on him to step forward and help. That willingness to serve others defined Jose throughout his career.

Those of us who had the privilege of knowing and working with Jose carry our own stories and memories of him. His friendship, kindness, work ethic, and devotion to others left an enduring mark on the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and everyone whose life he touched.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Carol, his three adult children, and his stepson. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and neither will the husband, father, friend, partner, and deputy behind the badge.

Today, we remember Jose. We honor his service. We honor his sacrifice. And most importantly, we honor the man and the family he loved so dearly. Jose, you are deeply missed by your family, friends, and law enforcement family.

Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, my friend. We have the watch from here.
