Welcome to the official page for the Central Valley Alliance of Atheists and Skeptics! CVAAS is a member organization of the Central Valley Coalition of Reason, which is the largest coalition of secular and skeptical people in the San Joaquin Valley. informing the community about secular and rational philosophy. CVAAS also uses this page as part of being a secular voice in the Valley. RULES FOR POSTING:
1) This is not the page where you get to post your sermon to the atheist community. Be assured, the San Joaquin Valley is filled with churches, temples, and even mosques. If we want a sermon we know where to go. Sermons and other attempts to proselytize will be deleted. Repeated attempts will result in you being banned from posting to this page.
2) Respectful attempts at conversation may be answered, or not. Depending on how we feel and whether you start by providing evidence to back up your claims.
3) If you start a conversation with multiple assertions, and then seldom or never re-engage with that conversation, it will be considered to be a veiled attempt at a sermon and will be deleted. A CVAAS Discussion Group has been created on Facebook. The rules are laxer there, and you are welcome to dialog with secular people there.
