The Foundation at FCOE The Foundation @ FCOE is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that promotes excellence, access and innovation in education.

The Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools. The Foundation @ FCOE is the fundraising arm of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, which serves 32 school districts and over 206,000 students. The Foundation @ FCOE will support student development by encouraging community investment and involvement of programs, services, student events,

and special projects coordinated by the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools. The Foundation provides much needed financial assistance to the Fresno County public education system. Our success depends in great part to the community’s response to our call to action. Our final surprise classroom visit honoring Terrific Teachers in Fresno County during Teacher Appreciation Week was to Music and Band Director Christopher Golden at Rio Vista Middle School in Central Unified School District. He was the winner for the Middle School category, and it was very clear that he is a student favorite, they even had a classroom cheer. Watch the video and see for yourself!

We are proud to celebrate the recipients of the Delbert “Del” Cederquist Memorial Scholarship. Michael Rodriguez and Hugo Vasquez are seniors at CTEC High School. Michael and Hugo are outstanding students who exemplify academic excellence, dedication, and community service. They successfully completed college-level coursework during high school at Fresno City College, and they will be continuing their educational journeys with a strong foundation for future success.

We are honored to support them, and we look forward to all they will accomplish in the future.

Congratulations to Krystal Reyes, Terrific Teacher for the High School category! Krystal is an amazing CTE Teacher at Firebaugh High School in Firebaugh-Las Deltas Unified School District. She received nine nominations from colleagues, parents, and from her very own students!

As Teacher Appreciation Week continues, today we surprised Sheri Alexander, Preschool Teacher at Rowell Elementary School in Fresno Unified School District, as a Terrific Teacher Award winner in the Preschool or TK category.

Sheri was nominated by a parent who shared how she goes out of her way to communicate with parents and ensure they are actively involved in their child’s education. Her dedication to building strong relationships with families creates a supportive and positive learning environment for her students.
