FREDERICK COUNTY BUDGET PRIORITIES SURVEY

Did you miss the county’s budget town halls? You still have a real opportunity to shape next year’s priorities — and your voice matters.

This survey is one of the most direct ways to show our elected officials that residents want safe, connected bicycling and walking infrastructure. When more people speak up, the county is far more likely to invest in the projects that make our streets safer, healthier, and more accessible for everyone.

Take a few minutes to share what you think Frederick County should prioritize in the upcoming budget. Your input can help active transportation become a higher budget priority.

2026 BIKE MARYLAND SYMPOSIUM - FEB 17, 2026

Want your state legislators to hear what matters for safer biking? Join us in Annapolis and help push key bike bills forward.

📅 Tuesday, Feb 17
⏰ 8:30 AM–4:00 PM
📍 Miller Senate Office Building
11 Bladen St, Annapolis, MD

Bike Maryland is bringing together leaders in transportation, safety and recreation for our annual statewide symposium.

Top priority bills for 2026:
- No Stopping/Standing/Parking in Bike Lanes — Bike lanes are for people, not parking. The House passed it in 2025, but a late amendment weakened safety and stalled the bill.
- Bicyclist Safety Start (HB0177/SB0155) — Allows cyclists to go on the walk signal. Passed the House 133–0 last year but ran out of time in the Senate.
- Intelligent Speed Assistance Pilot (HB0107) — A targeted program requiring in‑car speed limiters for high‑risk drivers after serious violations.

Spots are filling fast. Register here:
