Today marks the 84th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and America's entrance into WWII. Last year the Choral Arts Society was honored to have been chosen to participate in the 83rd commemoration taking place in Hawaii. Prior to our departure, we presented "Pearl Harbor: A Soldier's Journey" in concert, telling the story of one young man's journey through service to his nation. Through songs and images the choir paid tribute to all who served, supported, and sacrificed for the liberties and freedoms we now have. Today there are only 12 remaining survivors from that attack, all over 100 years old. For the first time ever, none were able to travel to the commemorations. From that concert we would like to share "Eternal Father, Strong to Save" as a tribute to those in every branch of service who answered the call. The images don't translate in video, but the singing expresses our thanks and humility in the face of those who said, "Yes," when the need arose, for whom we are ever grateful.
