At CHILL, we provide essential social services to young adults aged 18-25 who have experienced homelessness. Our mission is to support and empower these individuals through a variety of programs and resources:

Housing Assistance: We help young adults find safe and stable housing.

Hey Fort Wayne! 🌟

Let’s talk about the current state of homelessness in our city. It’s important to understand the numbers so we can work together to make a difference. 💪

Fort Wayne Homelessness Stats:

Over 170 people in Fort Wayne were experiencing homelessness during the last Point-in-Time Count.
47% of homeless families are African American, even though they make up only 15% of the general population.
940 students in the Fort Wayne Community Schools District were identified as experiencing homelessness during the 2021/2022 academic year.
40% of individuals in the homeless system of care were children between August 2018 and July 20211.

Why It Matters:

Community Impact: Homelessness affects everyone. By understanding the stats, we can better support those in need.
Awareness: Raising awareness is the first step towards creating effective solutions.
