Bust a Move is an auction fundraiser to benefit women with breast cancer in our community. Money raised at the event goes to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. This year's event will take place on Friday, October 2, at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. The evening will feature a live auction of unique and inspiring works of art, along with hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and entertainment. Proceeds fro
m the event will benefit our programs and services for women with breast cancer. Preparation for the event began earlier this year when local breast cancer survivors volunteered their bodies to be cast for the project. Once complete, the busts are distributed to local artists who volunteer their time and talent to create unique, inspiring artistic representations of the female bust and the emotions associated with breast cancer. Over the years, we've had some stunning pieces created for this event, and in 2012, we shattered our record with one piece selling for over $8,500.
