What if one Girl Scout experience could change the course of your life? ✨

For Sylvia Acevedo, it did.

As a young Girl Scout growing up in New Mexico, Sylvia looked up at the stars during a camping trip and became fascinated by the night sky. Her troop leader encouraged her to pursue her interest in science, and Sylvia went on to earn a master’s degree in engineering from Stanford University, become a rocket scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and eventually serve as CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA.

But perhaps the most inspiring part of her story is where it began: with a girl who was curious, a leader who encouraged her and a Girl Scout experience that helped her believe in what she could do.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating Sylvia Acevedo and the countless Hispanic women who are opening doors, pursuing their passions and inspiring the next generation to dream big. 💚

Because sometimes, finding the power within her starts with someone simply saying, “Why don’t you try?”

✨ Beauty is more than what you see. It’s the kindness we share, the courage to overcome, and the strengths we bring to the world.

🌟 For Inner Beauty Day, celebrate the qualities that make you uniquely you! Write a list of qualitities or strengths you are proud of. Then, place it in a prominent place such as a mirror or your locker to remind yourself every day.✨

Meet Zuri! 🦘✨

You voted, and our 2026 Fall Product kangaroo has a name! Say hello to Zuri, which means “beautiful” in Swahili. 💚 Like all kangaroos, Zuri uses her strong tail to help balance herself as she hops along. With all that hopping, she’s always on the move!
