We're heading to Denver!

Join us in Denver for three days of learning, ideas, and real world examples of incremental development in action.

We kick off June 11 with a FREE Introduction to Incrementalism lecture featuring Ivy Vann, exploring how small-scale development and zoning reform can help communities grow in ways that reflect existing neighborhood patterns.

On June 12, continue the learning with the ADU Academy and save 15% on registration using code IncDev15.

We wrap up on June 13 with an ADU Walking Tour through Denver's historic Baker neighborhood, FREE for IncDev Members, showing how accessory dwelling units are being used to add housing while fitting into the fabric of the neighborhood.

What is an ADU?

Accessory dwelling units, or ADUs, are one of the most practical first steps a community can take toward a more incremental, affordable, and adaptable housing system. An ADU is a small, independent home located on the same lot as a primary residence. It may be a backyard cottage, garage apartment, basement apartment, internal suite, or small addition.

Denver’s ADU story is best explored on foot.

Join IncDev in Denver for a walking tour through the historic Baker neighborhood with architect Ozi Friedrich of Radix Design. From alley cottages rooted in Denver’s boarding house era to modern ADUs made possible after the city re-legalized them in 2016, this tour offers a firsthand look at how small-scale housing is shaping neighborhoods today.

Note: We recommend biking, scootering or ridesharing to the venue. Parking is limited.

Denver is growing. Housing isn't keeping up.

This free lecture Town Hall Collaborative is about what everyday people — homeowners, neighbors, local leaders — can actually do about it. IncDev's Ivy Vann breaks down how small-scale development is one of the most powerful tools communities have to build more housing and locally-owned business spaces, more thoughtfully.

While there’s more to do to solve America’s housing affordability crisis, the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act would be a historic step to increase housing supply, improve affordability, and broaden housing choice in communities across the country.

We appreciate the work of House leaders and members of both chambers in advancing a serious bipartisan housing supply package. We call on both chambers to work quickly toward a final package that maximizes housing supply.

Let's break it down:

Small Bites: Housing 101 with Eric Kronberg 🏠

Housing is complicated. Demographics are changing, infrastructure is expensive, zoning can feel overwhelming, and building codes add another layer of complexity. Join Eric Kronberg with Kronberg Urbanists + Architects, a zoning whisperer, as he breaks down these challenges and explores practical ways to navigate the redevelopment maze.

These one hour, bite sized sessions are designed for all experience levels, from small scale developers and local advocates to policymakers.
