Thank you to Fargo Mayor Josh Boschee, Moorhead Mayor Shelly Carlson and West Fargo Mayor Eric Gjerdevig for proclaiming Oct. 18-24 as Friends of Libraries Week in the metro area!

Josh Boschee, joined by the mayors of City of Moorhead, Minnesota and City of West Fargo - Government has proclaimed Oct. 18-24, 2026, as Friends of Libraries Week in the metro area, in conjunction with National Friends of Libraries Week. 📚

The proclamation recognizes the Friends for advocating for well-funded libraries and raising money for additional programming, equipment, supplies, furnishings and special events throughout the year. Their gift of time and commitment also sets a positive example of civic engagement that benefits both volunteers and the communities they serve.

Our libraries are the cornerstone of our communities, giving everyone a chance to learn and to connect with the ideas of others from ages past to the present. Join us in thanking the Friends for their generous service, advocacy and lasting contributions.
