God continues to open doors for Love Beyond Blood Foundation, and I am so grateful and thankful.

I am so happy that I was obedient and followed the vision God placed on my heart. What started from my own lived experience has grown into something bigger than I could have imagined, and I truly believe God is just getting started.

We have some AMAZING opportunities coming up over the next couple of months that I can’t discuss just yet, but trust me when I say this is only the beginning.

Someone reached out to me today and said something that really stuck with me:

“Your foundation stands out because it comes from lived experience. You didn’t just come up with this in a boardroom. This is your life, and who can tell your story better than you?”

Wheeew. That touched me.

Love Beyond Blood was born from real life, real love, real challenges, and seeing firsthand where the gaps are for kinship families. I followed the vision God gave me, even when I couldn’t see where it would lead.

Now I’m watching him open doors I never could have opened on my own.

I’m grateful. I’m humbled. I’m excited.

Stay tuned. Love Beyond Blood Foundation is just getting started.

A LITTLE MORE LOVE IN XAVIANNA’S CLOSET

We have a FOOD PANTRY now!

Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, Love Beyond Blood Foundation is now able to offer shelf-stable food items through A Little More Love in Xavianna’s Closet to the kinship families we serve.

At this time, we are NOT offering refrigerated, frozen, or cold food items. Our pantry currently includes shelf-stable, non-perishable foods such as:

🥫 Canned vegetables
🥜 Peanut butter
🍚 Rice
🍝 Pasta
🥣 Soups
🧀 Mac & cheese
🫘 Baked beans
🍞 Bread
📦 Boxed meals and more!

If you are a kinship family and could use a little extra help filling your pantry, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. There is absolutely no shame in needing a little help. That is exactly why we are here.

📅 Hours: Tuesday through Friday
⏰ 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📌 By appointment only

Families will need to complete an intake form before receiving assistance.

Sometimes a little more love is exactly what a family needs.💕

Today is National Nonprofit Day and I couldn’t let the day end without celebrating Love Beyond Blood Foundation.

I am beyond proud of how far we’ve come in such a short period of time. The families we are able to serve and support.

Today, on National Nonprofit Day, I celebrate Love Beyond Blood Foundation. I celebrate our board, our volunteers, our community partners, every person who has donated, shared a post, connected us with a resource, prayed for us, believed in this mission, or trusted us enough to allow us to become part of their village.

We are still growing. We are still learning. We are still building.

Since opening our doors early this year we have received support from incredible community partners, secured grants and donations, built meaningful relationships throughout our community, served families who needed someone to simply show up. Thank you

Happy National Nonprofit Day to every organization doing the work, showing up for their communities, and turning compassion into action.

Yesterday was an incredibly special moment for Love Beyond Blood Foundation. Our Founder and Executive Director, Robbyanna May, had the honor of being recognized by her job at Swedish Medical Center as an Honorary Coach at the Seattle Storm game, representing not only our foundation, but the kinship families and children we are privileged to serve.

Seeing Love Beyond Blood Foundation displayed on the Jumbotron and hearing the arena applaud was a beautiful reminder of how far this mission has come. What began with one family’s story and a desire to make sure other kinship families never have to navigate this journey alone continues to grow into something bigger than we ever imagined.

We are deeply grateful to Providence Swedish and the Seattle Storm for this recognition and for providing a platform to bring greater awareness to kinship care. Every opportunity to share our name is an opportunity to reach another grandparent, relative, guardian, or caregiver who may need to know that support is available.

At Love Beyond Blood Foundation, our mission remains the same: to stand beside kinship families, provide wraparound support, advocate for their needs, and remind them that family is not defined by blood alone. It is defined by the people who choose to show up, stay, and love.

Yesterday was truly an honor. Today we get back to serving our kinship families.

There is truly no better feeling than when someone reaches out to me and says, “Can I donate diapers to the closet?” “Can you use some formula?” or “I have a car seat and blankets I would love to donate.”

And then they say, “I found your foundation online.”

That warms my entire heart.

My little foundation is growing right before my eyes, and sometimes I have to sit back and take it all in. We are barely six months into this journey, and we are already further than I ever imagined we would be. So many doors have opened. So many people have reached out. So many opportunities have come our way. And most importantly, we have been able to show up for families who need us.

I know God placed Love Beyond Blood Foundation on my heart for a reason. This is so much bigger than me. I may be the one who started it, but God already knew where He was taking it.

Right now, we may be operating out of my garage, but I truly believe that by next year we are going to be standing inside our own big space, looking around and saying, “Look what God did.”

A warehouse. Shelves filled with diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, car seats, blankets and everything our kinship families need. A place where families can walk through the doors and know that they are supported and loved.

I can see it already. 🙏🏾

To every person who has donated, shared a post, told someone about us, connected us with a resource, prayed for us, or simply believed in what we are building, thank you.

We’re just getting started.

Today, we’re sharing 5 things you might not know about kinship care.

1. Kinship care helps keep families connected. Children are cared for by grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, other relatives, or sometimes close family friends who already know and love them.
2. Many kinship caregivers step in unexpectedly. Sometimes life changes overnight, and a family member suddenly becomes a full-time caregiver. There may be very little time to prepare emotionally, financially, or practically.
3. Familiar connections can make a big difference. Remaining connected to family, culture, traditions, siblings, and community can provide children with an important sense of identity and belonging.
4. Kinship caregivers need support too. Love may bring a family together, but love alone doesn’t pay for childcare, clothing, food, legal expenses, transportation, therapies, school supplies, or all of the other unexpected needs that can arise.
5. A strong village can change an entire family’s future. Sometimes a caregiver simply needs someone to say, “You don’t have to figure this out by yourself.”

That last one is exactly why Love Beyond Blood Foundation exists.

We want kinship families to know that we see you. We see the sacrifices that often happen quietly. We see the grandparents starting over, the relatives rearranging their lives, and the families doing whatever it takes to make sure a child is safe, supported, and loved.

Kinship care may look different from one family to another, but one thing remains the same:

Family isn’t always about who gave you life. Sometimes it’s about who stepped in when life changed.

Happy Wednesday! Learn something new, share something helpful, and find one way to show up for somebody today.

As we head into the weekend, we just want to send a little love and positivity your way. Today, choose kindness. Choose patience. Choose to encourage someone. Smile at a stranger. Check on a friend. Tell someone you appreciate them. Do something good simply because you can.

You never truly know what someone may be carrying behind their smile, and sometimes the smallest act of kindness can make the biggest difference.

To all of the incredible kinship caregivers and families we serve, we see you, we appreciate you, and we honor the love you pour into your families every single day. Keep showing up. Keep doing your best and remember to give yourself some grace along the way.

Be kind. Be intentional. Be the reason someone smiles today.

Happy Friday, everyone! Let’s make it a beautiful one!
