Adopt A Stream Foundation The Adopt A Stream Foundation (AASF) a 501(c)3 non-profit organization- Our mission is to teach people to be stewards of their watersheds.

Come visit our headquarters, and environmental learning facility, the Northwest Stream Center! The mission of the Adopt-A-Stream Foundation is to teach people to become stewards of their watersheds. That mission is carried out by conducting natural resource training at Streamkeeper Academy, producing environmental education materials, and providing local communities stream and wetland restoration

technical assistance. Now, the Adopt-A-Stream Foundation is in the process of developing the first regional environmental learning facility in the Pacific NW with stream and wetland ecology & fish and wildlife habitat restoration as its central themes. It is called the Northwest Stream Center and is located on a 20 acre site in Snohomish County's McCollum Park (approximately 1/2 mile east of Interstate 5 off the 128th Street exit between Everett and Seattle).

Get ready for a closeup of the natural world at Macro Madness – It's a small, small world after all!

Take a virtual trip with wildlife ecologist and nature photographer Greg Green as he explores the microcosmic world of macro and close-up photography this Saturday August 15th, 1pm at the Northwest Stream Center in Snohomish County's McCollum Park in Everett, near Mill Creek (600 128th St SE, Everett, WA 98208).

Greg will take us not to some foreign land abroad, but to very close up views of our local forests, ponds, beaches, and gardens. From dragonflies to slime mold, mushrooms to barnacles, bumblebees to frog eggs, and the repeating patterns of garden flower corollas and ice crystals, Greg will reveal a world that is very visible yet rarely seen!

You will pick up tips and techniques on how to create your own amazing closeup images in the wild. And, by attending Macro Madness, you are provided admission to the NW Stream Center Nature Trail where you can put those tips into practice through viewing windows of the Trout Stream Exhibit or along the amazing Elevated Forest and Wetland Walk that winds through 20+ acres, 3-feet above the surrounding forest floor and wetlands. It’s a beautiful place to be!
