“4-H has shaped me into the woman I am today. 4-H has taught me sportsmanship through my various competitions, especially showmanship. The motto “keep your head when you win and your heart when you lose” always stuck with me and will continue to have an effect on my life. I also made many connections that I will not forget.”

Addison received the Thomas R. Quann 4-H Scholarship. She will be attending Lincoln Memorial University and majoring in Pre-Veterinary studies.

“Through 4-H, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as Club President, mentor younger members, and compete in county and state level competitions. Some of my proudest accomplishments are being on the state team for judging, going to state twice for hippology, placing third individually at the state contest, as well as going to nationals in hippology and placing 5th as a team. I’ve also been recognized as a Top 10 Performance Rider every year, which reflects the discipline, consistency, and partnership required in horsemanship. I will be continuing my studies at Lincoln Memorial University to pursue a doctorate in veterinary medicine."

Good luck to Addison and all of our WSU 4-H Scholarship Award winners! 4-H helps our youth become beyond ready to face the challenges of life.
