The EPA estimates that between 23,000 and 75,000 sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) events occur annually across the U.S., with 71% of them caused by grease. To address this critical issue, we’re excited to announce that Fuji Ngariki from the City of Eugene will be presenting at our upcoming FOG Forum. Fuji will share valuable insights on maintenance response to sanitary sewer overflows, preparing both stormwater and sanitary sewer maintenance technicians with the knowledge and processes needed to respond effectively to SSOs.

We’re thrilled that the City of Eugene has responded to our call for presentations, and we can’t wait to hear their expertise on this topic! This is the final week to submit your own presentation proposals—don't miss out! Submit yours by March 31st to be part of this important event.

Registration and proposal submissions can be found at our event page (https://www.westernstatesalliance.org/events/2025fogforum).
