We are quite literally bursting at the seams with sooo many sewing patterns and embroidery/needlepoint kits of all shapes and sizes 🤗 We also have some super fun stuff on the floor this week like beautiful wallpaper, a warping rack for weaving, art books, paper dolls, more fabric, big pieces of rice paper, and glass rod bundles! Come see all the cool stuff we have this weekend 😎

We’ve got all your art & craft bases covered here at the Wasteshed Evanston 🫡 we have a little bit of everything right now including fabric, a ton of plastic canvas & fancy yarn, a ring light, woodblock stamps galore, big packs of tissue paper, sharpies & other markers, molds, and glitter! This weekend is the perfect time to come in and stock up! We’d love to see you 🤗

Wondering when The WasteShed is accepting donations in July? There’s a calendar for that! This month, both locations will be accepting donations during the last two weeks of the month, Wednesday-Friday.

Some donation reminders: Please bring your donations in a container that we can keep (ex. cardboard box, grocery bag, plastic tote) and come prepared for us to look through and approve your donation. Please call ahead if your donation is larger than two grocery bags. If we are not able to accept some or all of your donation, do NOT use our garbage bins to dispose of your materials. Thanks, friends :)

Just stopping by to say we have so much good stuff on the floor in Evanston right now! We have a beautiful collection of vintage & unique greeting cards, photo slides & negatives, board games & puzzles, legos, a vintage (working) tape deck & speakers, so many fine art & how-to painting books, airbrush paints & inks, and also our brand new super fun Wasteshed shirts available for purchase! Come by this weekend we’d love to see you 😋

Curious about making a block for our Re-Thread quilt fundraiser but keep getting your thread in a knot? Dreaming of seeing your quilt square in our community quilt at the Quilting Bee in August but can’t tell your seam allowance from your half square triangles?!

Do not fear!!! We’re hosting two block making workshops with help from the Chicago Textile Center’s own Daliah Silver () at both WasteShed locations this summer! Learn how to sew a block from start to finish. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to submit your blocks to the Re-Thread Bee community quilt!

Who can resist that smile? This little doggy is just waiting to be drawn on!!! We have so many cute stuffed animals that you can design yourself 🐶 we’ve also got great stuff on the floor like a weaving loom, beads & accessories, art kits, colorful funky yarn, Native American pottery, beautiful vintage iron on embroidery patterns, and our totally reorganized craft section 🤠 we’ll be here all weekend! Come out and get crafty 🫟

The stained glass just keeps on comin’ in to the Wasteshed Evanston 🤩🤩🤩 we’ve got even more glass pieces and rods for all your stained glass needs 🫧 we’ve also got great stuff on the floor like sewing machines, TONS of yarn, fabric, canvases, handmade paper, watercolor sets, and a tiny purse for your post-it notes 📥 come say hi this weekend we’ve got the goooooods 🙂‍↕️
