What a wonderful Sunday evening at the History Center! We just barely had enough chairs and space for the packed house listening to and sharing stories of Latinos building community in Evanston, which have been part of our city's history for many decades.

“I realized it wasn’t just about making mole and selling mole, but more about representing and sharing where I come from.” - Ernesto

"You all have wonderful stories. Get them down. We need them out." - Paula

"You don’t need a title that tells you “I am this” to do this." - Celia

Thank you/gracias:

🙏🏼co-organizer extraordinare Ricardo Villalobos Evanston Latinos

🙏🏼 guests Paula Cofresi-Silverstein, Celia Carlino and Ernesto Rodriguez

🙏🏼 Jesse on the guitar

🙏🏼 Interpreters Jenny Valdes and Re Language Services
