In Livingston, a young woman is learning to grow vegetables without soil. 🥕 In Petén, another is decorating her first cake. 🍰 This year, 160 students from indigenous Maya communities are gaining certified vocational skills through Ak' Tenamit - Guatemala Tomorrow Fund and INDRI Ak’tenamit schools, with more courses still to come.
Graphic design. Baking. Agritourism. Hydroponic farming. Seven INTECAP-certified courses so far, each one chosen for its relevance to the communities these students come from and the opportunities available to them.
Thanks to the generous support of Pionero Philanthropy, partnerships like these are expanding opportunities for youth in rural Guatemala. 🤝
