Students For a Free Tibet Chicago VALUES:
We believe every individual has the right to be free.

VISION:
In our work for Tibetan independence we also aim to inspire and enable people, especially youth, to create a just and equitable world, free of oppression, in which there is respect for the earth and all living things. Those who enjoy freedom have the power and also the responsibility to make positive change in the world. We seek to create opportunities to inspire, enable and motivate all people to see that change is possible. We value creativity in every pursuit and we believe it is essential to have fun while working towards our vision of a just and equitable world.

From June 24 - 30 it’s Global Week of Action where communities and organizations are standing up against China’s Ethnic Unity and Progress Law (EUPL), which goes into effect on July 1. EUPL legalizes China’s forceful assimilation and transnational repression of ethnic minorities along with the erasure of their culture and identity. Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) Chicago and the Tibetan Alliance of Chicago (TAC) have planned a protest on June 24 from 11 am - 2 pm. We would greatly appreciate it if you join us!

SFT Chicago volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, during the holy month of Saka Dawa, where we packed meals for children around the world who are experiencing hunger or lack access to nutritious food. This was a truly eye-opening experience, and we were grateful to contribute to the fight against world hunger.
