One Hope Covenant Church was planted in 2017 in Elkins, WV. We are a small congregation striving to serve and love our community the best we can. Our hope is to be a church that honors Jesus in word and deed. As we read the sermon on the mount, we recognize our call to be salt and light in the world. We are to be kind, compassionate, and empathetic. We also believe we are called to love mercy, do justly, and walk humbly for the glory of God (Micah 6:8). We recognize that God, through His Son Jesus, has opened the door for creation to be reconciled back to a right relationship with Him. All are welcomed to the table. Come as you are and watch Jesus work and the Holy Spirit move in your life. Sundays 10:30am in the Phil Gainer Community Center.

Today we talk about praising and worshipping even when trials and tension arise in life. Praise should still be constant and our heart for worship should be stronger in times of hardship.

We are continuing the conversation in Psalms. The poetry and songs written to honor and glorify God can move us into a place of peace and rest. Our hearts and minds should be centered on praising God in honor. Thanks for joining us in the conversation.

The Psalms are songs and poems praising and glorifying the work of God in the life of His creation. King David and other writers share their heart for God to celebrate Him for Who He is. There are psalms of lament, praise, wisdom, trust, and thanksgiving. We will be digging into several Psalms written to celebrate the goodness and glory of God. We hope you enjoy this series!
