Jack has found his calling.

His entire demeanor has shifted. Ears forward, engaged, curious and completely present with our participants. Watching him come alive in this work has been extraordinary.

And beside him is the phenomenal woman who made this partnership possible: Krystal.

In just six months, weā€™ve gone from meeting for the first time to building what we believe will be a lifelong partnership between Bright Strides + Camden Hills Equine Inn. Krystal has hit the ground running, including bringing together our upcoming fundraiser to help sustain this programming.

A portion of the eveningā€™s proceeds will directly support Bright Strides Art & Equine Therapy programming for eight Coastal Opportunities participants at Camden Hills Equine Inn. Our goal is to fund a complete four-session block, creating meaningful opportunities for connection, confidence, creative expression, regulation, and joy alongside the horses.

Our Bright Strides team member, Vee, and her community in the Philippines have been devastated by a powerful earthquake.

Veeā€™s sister was among more than 100 students attending the school that collapsed and was featured in the news. Thankfully, the students were outside when the earthquake struck.

While lives were spared, the trauma, fear, and devastation experienced by these children, their families, and their community are immeasurable.

Families have lost their homes.
Aftershocks are still continuing.

Our hearts are with Vee, one of our incredible Bright Strides team members, whose family, neighbors, and community in the Philippines have been devastated by yet another powerful earthquake. Homes have been destroyed, families displaced, and aftershocks are still continuing.

For many, the most immediate need is shelter.

Today, Bright Strides is launching an emergency fundraiser with a goal of just $200 to provide 20 tarps that can be used as temporary roofing and protection for families who have lost their homes.

Honoring the Horse. Honoring the Calling.

My name is Danielle Jacqueline White, formerly Roberts. My childhood best friend Vanessa Gottlieb () and I co-founded Bright Strides in 2017. We are so grateful for the community that continues to grow with us over the years!

With 31 years in the equine world, my path moved from hunter jumper and combined training into pleasure and trail riding, and ultimately into my true vocation as an Equine Therapist and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. My work centers on presence, emotional attunement, and honoring the horse as a partner in healing.

My first horse, Hershey, made this clear early. At the Hampton Classic he reared, took down the tent, and bucked and reared through the entire classā€”a sign our path was not in competition. I listened.

In 2012, I founded The Grateful Pony Art & Equestrian Center, which evolved into Bright Strides, now a 501(c)(3) offering art- and equine-based therapeutic support. Hershey now guides me metaphysically alongside Hiro, KitKat, and Snickers.

Today, I offer high-level coaching and mentorship, integrating nature-based art, equine therapy, and somatic healing for those seeking deeper connection with their horses and with themselves.

Our vision is bold:
to expand the Bright Strides Constellation and build our first residential healing center, growing into a nationwide constellation rooted in equine rescue and compassionate care.

The wind moves through the trees,
and I can almost hear it,
the echo of hooves down dirt roads,
reverberating through memory.

Each gust carries the rhythm of the rides we once had,
the same pulse that lives in my chest now.
The air bends, time folds, and I remember
weā€™re still on the ride,
just in another form of motion.

Energy doesnā€™t end; it evolves.
Quantum physics reminds us that matter only reorganizes itself
according to the observer,
and love, pure coherent energy, never fades.
It simply changes frequency.

I feel him everywhere,
in the shimmer of golden light through autumn branches,
in the resonance between my heartbeat and the magnetic field of the earth, calibrating my nervous system to stillness,
in the knowing that connection never dies,
it just learns a new language.

Hiro still rides beside me, within me,
his spirit stitched into the field,
teaching that separation is an illusion
and that presence transcends form.
