Tribal Crafts, Inc. Tribal Crafts was incorporated in 1987 in an effort to expand and market the crafts made by the Lakot Tribal Crafts, Inc. is open to all who are interested.

Many Lakotas continue their tradition of making beautiful handcrafts including jewlery made from porcupine quills, beads, antlers and silver as well as pottery and morning star quilts

In an effort to expand the marketing of these crafts, the Green Grass Partnership formed Tribal Crafts. This evolved into a non-profit corporation to better serve its purpose. helps the Lakota people sell their cra

fts and creates a way of returning money to those living on the reservation. consists of a general membership, a volunteer Board or Directors and an advisory committee of Lakota crafts people. As a non-profit corporation, Tribal Crafts, Inc. The crafts are sold in the Partnership room in the Parish Hall of the church. also sells the crafts at other churches, fairs and powwows. To purchase crafts, come to the Partnership Room when open, or contact Stephanie Kenny at [email protected]. Church storefront hours are Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 and also in the afternoon from 12:00 to 1:00. Our summer hours are from 11:00 -12:00. Can't make it on Sunday, don't worry, we are happy to open the store at any time, just let us know! Please email [email protected] or call the church office (860) 434-8686. Occasionally Lakota craftspeople will visit to personally share their craft. We will be sure to send updates to let you know of their arrival.

This kit includes an artisan hand picked sage bundle from Green Grass, South Dakota and a hand formed pinch pot by Golden Spur Pottery

Sage has many spiritual teachings and is used in ceremony for many native tribes. It also just happens to have antimicrobial properties that help kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi in the air.

Local peeps: for a $25 donation to Tribal Crafts, I will gladly drop your smudge kit on your porch.

Non-local peeps: $25 donation + shipping and your kit will happily be on its way.

This weekend, Tribal Crafts is set up at 3 different markets, so no matter where you live, you'll find us near by!

~ Saturday & Sunday, The Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington, CT is hosting yours truly. Mary and I will be there set up and working the booth Sunday noon- 5pm. Swing by, explore the museum and say hello!

~ Saturday & Sunday next to the Old Lyme Big Y its the Holiday Pop Up Store featuring Native American, Palestinian and Haitian arts and crafts. Be sure to check out all there is to offer and buy gifts with a purpose!

Native American Holiday Arts & Crafts Market!

Friends of Tribal Crafts: Super excited to share that we will be set up at The Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington, CT tomorrow through December 15th! Visit some amazing and talented craftsmen selling Native American jewelry, artwork and more!

The Holiday Market is open during regular museum hours and admission to the market is free!
~ Saturdays, 10am - 5pm
~ Sundays, 12pm - 5pm

Visitors can take a guided tour of the museum with the cost of regular admission: IAIS Members free; $10 Adults, $8 Seniors, $6 Children.
