Today was the last day of our fall session for the Horse Feathers Veterans Program. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast and we thank everyone who contributed their specialty dishes. It was delicious! We even had time to interact with the animals today. And since one of our veterans, Chuck, was so good at swatting flies this year, we presented him with a Master Fly Killer certificate. šŸ˜† Thank you to everyone who helped make this session successful, including volunteers and veterans. See you next year!

Today was a special day for Race Car and Tug. They got to play with the Horse Feathers Veterans Program participants. And yes, they did get some treats, but don't tell anyone... We are beyond grateful to be able to have this program for CT's veterans and we hope that they enjoy it as much as Race Car and Tug do!

We are pleased to announce that the Community Foundation of Middlesex County (CFMC) and St. Luke's Home Fund through CFMC, have awarded grants to us for two of our veterans programs: Boots and Hooves on the Ground Program and the Horse Feathers Veterans Program. Two Wrasslin’ Cats is donating to the Horse Feathers veterans program of Ray Of Light Farm on Saturday, in memory of Eileen Console, who was an advocateļæ¼ and member of our program. Thank you so much!

The East Haddam ā€œNo Kingsā€ Rally at 374 Town Street is only two days away.
It will happen on Saturday June 14th come rain or come shine. Plan to attend as your voice is weatherproof!

It’s Flag Day! Bring along your favorite American Flag to wave in celebration and support of Democracy and the US Constitution!

TWC will be open from 9-2:30 with a ā€œNo Kingsā€ limited menu.

Coffee and bagels will be available for rally participants for a donation.

These donations will be collected in the memory of US Navy veteran Eileen Console to support the Horse Feathers Veteran Program at the Ray of Light Farm.

Rally participants should plan to start arriving at 11. Parking is limited, so carpool. Parking volunteers will be there to help.

This is a peaceful rally to remind us that kings and the take down of US Senator Padilla are simply UnAmerican and unacceptable.

Please share. Thanks.

One of our biggest benefactors, Eileen Console, passed away last year. She was a member of the Horse Feathers Veterans Program and was a United States Navy veteran. She was always so very generous to the farm. In her honor, Evelyn has planted a flower garden near the entrance to the Save-A-Buck Tack & Gift Store. It is a truly lovely way to remember a dear friend. Thank you, Evelyn. ā¤ļøšŸ¤šŸ’™
