Welcome to all of you. This page was started in response to a few incidents that have recently occurred. The horse that was lost when rider was thrown at Machamoodus, the large brush fire that occurred last night. This is ment to be a page to use in case of emergency situation when we need to network within the farm community to come together. Last night when the brush fire came alarmingly close to our farm, I was trying to reach out to people who I knew had trailers who could help us to evacuate animals if necessary, and In talking with a Keirsten Riccio , this idea was born. This is a place where we can reach out for help from fellow farm/ animal.owners in emergencies to get help or information. For instance, you have a loose animal, post here and people can spread the word, help look, can support when needed. It is also fine to use this as an information source as well, need hay? Looking for trailering? Looking for a trail buddy? Post here. Please feel free to add people that you know in the community who own or care for horses( or any livestock) to help build the network up for local support.
