Update from DPSCD. Let’s go Cass Tech. 💚🤍💚🤍
Detroit Public Schools Community District Public School League
・・・
The District looks forward to showcasing two of its historically highest performing and talented football teams, Cass Tech and Martin Luther King Jr., this Friday, September 25th at 5pm at Cass Tech.

The game is one of the most anticipated annually throughout the city, state, and country. Our goal is to ensure that our student-athletes can perform at their highest level while maintaining the highest standards of sportsmanship and safety.

We are also committed to ensuring the safety of all those who attend the game. Due to the high demand for tickets at the game, attendance will be restricted to the schools’ current students; participating student-athlete families; including bands and cheer teams; the schools’ families, and alumni.

No tickets will be sold publicly, and no tickets will be sold at the gate. Essentially, the game is sold out and will only be attended by those directly associated with both schools. All college coaches and media will be allowed to attend at no cost with credentials.

The game will be broadcasted live through the following link:
https://www.youtube.com/live/LAbARGhyjPk?si=aJnerDe49WV28yku

Any teenager attending the event as a member of a current student’s family or with an alum (with a ticket) must be accompanied by one parent or legal guardian unless they attend one of the two schools. Coaches from other District schools or non-District schools will not be permitted to attend even with their respective district badge.

I was the girl who originally didn’t want to go to college.

Although I’ve told y’all about my childhood dreams of becoming a lawyer, business had already taken my life in a different direction. After saving my first $10,000 at just 17 years old from selling bundles, I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

Then COVID hit.

I randomly left class one day thinking we would be back the following week, and I never returned. At that point, I was confused about what I truly wanted to do. I was already making money, I was over school, and honestly, I said, “Forget it.”

Then I received a full-ride scholarship to Wayne State University,100% paid.

My two moms Sharon Jackson Luvinlife218 asked me, “Do you want to be the cutest in the room or the smartest in the room?” I said, “Dang…maybe y’all are right.” 😂

A month after beginning college in August 2020, I launched FormFit. My first drop received 200 orders, and I went on to make my first six figures during my freshman year.

Long story short, I may not have been the perfect student at Wayne State, but my time there helped me understand my business on a deeper level. College showed me what I was already doing right, what I was missing, and where I still had room to grow.

Now, I want to pour back into the next college student who is ready to step into the line of fire that is entrepreneurship, just like I did.

🎓 I’m giving ALL currently enrolled college students a FREE ticket to the Entrepreneur District with proof of enrollment!

All you have to do is comment your school below, and we’ll send you the next steps. 👇🏽

Thank you to Wayne State University and Michigan Chronicle for featuring my story. 💚💛 This is what it looks like when education, opportunity, and entrepreneurship meet. Wayne State University Michigan Chronicle
