Two women. One big idea. A movement that’s changing the way we talk about periods. 🩸✨

On this week’s episode of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, we welcome Delphine Hirsh and Reyna Hohagen – co-founders of The Flow World, a nonprofit on a mission to end period poverty and stigma.

It started in 2017, when Delphine tried a menstrual cup for the first time and realized its power to fight period poverty at scale. Together with Reyna, she built The Flow into the only organization in the U.S. working to end period poverty exclusively through menstrual cups – the healthiest, most sustainable, and most cost-effective period product out there. 🌎

The results? More than 25,000 cups distributed, an estimated $20 million back in recipients’ pockets, and 47 million single-use products kept out of landfills. Poverty, stigma, and waste, all tackled at once. 🙌

🌟 Revolution of the Week: Kylie Kelce

You might know her as former NFL legend Jason Kelce’s wife, or as Taylor Swift’s sister-in-law, or maybe from that viral moment where she got down on her knees to meet a 4-year-old boy with autism at eye level - just because it was the right thing to do. But Kylie Kelce is so much more than any headline that’s ever been written about her.

As an ambassador for the Eagles Autism Foundation, Kylie has helped raise over $56 million for autism research and care since 2018. Her work has brought sensory rooms and mobile sensory units to Lincoln Financial Field, so every fan can enjoy the game. And it all comes from a real place - her neighbor Tim, who she grew up calling her brother, is on the spectrum. That’s not a talking point. That’s a lifelong relationship that shaped who she is.

She’s also a high school field hockey coach, mom to four daughters, and host of the Not Gonna Lie podcast - where she built her own platform on her own terms, refusing to be defined by the famous people around her.

Kylie Kelce is proof that you don’t need a fancy title to make a difference. You just need to show up and care for real.

Life has been life-in’ so much lately and we’ve had so much going on! ArtPrize, NYC for the filmmakers summit, and then this weekend with the Metro Detroit Women’s Expo! There is so much to share, but I wanted to post about this weekend first!

Thank you to Metro Detroit Women’s Expo for having us and to every single person who came out to support 1 Girl Revolution. To our volunteers, our ambassadors, everyone who bought a shirt to support our work, and everyone who stopped by our booth and took a few minutes to hear about the work we’re doing... you made this weekend so impactful and special. We got to talk to so many incredible women, share our mission, and leave feeling genuinely excited about what’s coming next. And special thanks to The Dre Project and Jennifer Jackson for including us and for being the best sisterfriends 🙌

“Beautiful things are all around, simply waiting to be found.”

My mom always used to say “Delightful things are all around, simply waiting to be found.” I love that quote, but swapped it out for beauty - because I feel like beauty is more attainable and understandable. And I’ve found it to be true - how different our lives would look if we recognized the beauty around us. Life genuinely looks different when you slow down enough to notice it.

The way sunlight hits a room in the morning. A song that comes on at exactly the right moment. Someone holding the door for you. Your favorite mug. A deep breath.

None of it is dramatic, but all of it is real.

We spend so much time waiting for something big to come along and change our lives - but the reality is it’s the small things that quietly shift everything. You just have to pay attention.

✨ Revolution of the Week: Olivia Flora ✨

I heard about Olivia through a friend, and got to know her and her mom a little and heard more about their stories. Olivia hadn’t done media interviews before, but I knew her story and I knew it would inspire so many people. So I booked her on The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast - and this girl knocked it out of the park!

Olivia Flora is the founder of Playing Possum Clothing Co. - a brand creating sensory-friendly clothing designed for neurodivergent adults. This girl is something special and you are going to love her!

Olivia wasn’t diagnosed with autism until she was 16. For years she had been masking, excelling, and quietly navigating the challenges she had that no one around her could see. When her coping systems finally started to unravel, she found her way to answers and a diagnosis- and eventually to her purpose.

That purpose became Playing Possum Clothing Co. - sensory-friendly clothing made for all. What started as a personal need and a dream in her parents’ garage in December 2022 has grown into a company with its own office, in-house production, a team of five, sales in more than 40 countries, and a community of over 130,000 followers.
