December 8 was a great weekend for our Robotics Engineering Center of Detroit (RECD) teams!
This Saturday, our Middle School teams showed incredible talent, teamwork, and innovation on the field — and we’re excited to share that two of our teams are advancing to the State Championship!

🏆 Team 32460 BOWtech, an all-girls team – Academy of the Americas
🥈 2nd Place Inspire Award — the second-highest honor recognizing overall excellence, leadership, community outreach, and engineering mastery.
* Trivia: BOWtech is an acronym for Building Outstanding Women.

⚡ Team 12467 Bolt Munchers – Earhart Middle School
🏅 Winning Finalist Alliance — a major achievement showcasing strategy, perseverance, and competitive strength.

🏗️ Team 32041 HODAbytes - Hope of Detroit Academy
🥇 1st Place Design Award — celebrating their outstanding engineering design, iteration and robot quality.

Every student gave their all, and we couldn’t be prouder. These young engineers are building skills, confidence, and futures — one match at a time.

A Southwest Detroit robotics team is heading to the 2026 FIRST Robotics World Championship after earning top honors at a regional competition. Team 5577 will represent their community in Houston, TX.
