Juneteenth is a necessary celebration of freedom. It centers us as children of the African diaspora -- to remember our power. Our resilience. Our grit. Our ability to journey forward as freedom navigators in this life. Today, we remember how far we've come, while we yet traverse this all to common landscape of injustice that remains alive in 2026. We commemorate this year's Juneteenth by gazing at the artistic brilliance of one of our Blood brothers, Joe Cazeno III, who boldly demonstrates the "Misery of Inequity" that we face as a nation. Many days, there are more pressing questions than there are good answers. Food and gas prices. Government standards. Education. Our children's safety. Environmental quagmires. We remain the change that we want to see, in a world that still works to oppress those that it needs most. Yet still we rise!
