Both of our Wednesday night middle school clubs have spots open! We’re just getting started with RIOS Corp and GET-IT Club, so this is a great time to join. Contact us to learn more and to start the enrollment process. Visit www.mercyed.net/girls-program 💙

📚💛 RIOS Girls Empowerment is underway at Mercy Education Project!

This isn’t a one-time workshop. RIOS Corp is spending the school year with middle school girls through weekly programming that brings together literacy, leadership, confidence, self-expression, advocacy, and community.

Each week, girls will read, write, talk, create, reflect, and build skills together in a space designed especially for them.

Girls in grades 6–8 can still join!

📍 Mercy Education Project
1450 Howard, Detroit, MI 48216
📅 Wednesdays
🍽️ 4:00 PM – Girls may arrive for food
💛 4:30–6:30 PM – RIOS programming

We’re just getting started, so this is a great time to join!

Interested in enrolling a student? Stop by Mercy Education Project and complete the registration forms.

Please share with a family who has a middle school girl who might enjoy this experience.

MEP's story is officially part of Mercy International Association's project!

Our story, featuring MEP alumnae Nicole and Daisy, traces two very different paths through MEP back to the same mission Catherine McAuley began in Dublin in 1827.

Read their journeys here: https://www.mercyworld.org/newsroom/mercy-200-stories/a-door-which-opened-in-dublin-in-1827-is-still-opening-in-detroit-almost-200-years-later/

It's fitting timing. This September, MEP is marking Walk to Mercy Day, our own way of walking in Catherine McAuley's footsteps as we count down to 200 years of Mercy. Join us: www.mercyed.net/mercyday

👣Every step supports women and girls in Southwest Detroit. Mercy Education Project provides free education so every woman and girl can take her own steps toward a future of her choosing.

This September, we're launching Walk to Mercy Day, our first-ever Walk, and we built it so there's a way in for everyone. Set your own pace and walk whenever it fits your schedule, or join us in person at MEP on September 17. Start a fundraising page and ask your network to support you, or skip the page entirely and give directly. Can't walk or give right now? Spreading the word counts too.

However you take part, it all builds to Mercy Day, September 24, when we'll close out the Walk with a celebration at MEP. It marks the start of our countdown to the 200th anniversary of the House of Mercy Catherine McAuley opened in 1827. 🌹

No cost. No minimum. No deadline. This is your Walk, made your way. Learn more and get started at www.mercyed.net/mercyday.
