Rahab’s story is one of rescue, redemption, faith, hope, and belonging. A woman who lived on the outside became part of God’s people—and ultimately part of the story of Jesus.

Her scarlet cord became a visible sign of hope: she believed God’s promise before she could see the rescue.

What if we really understood this: God delights in mercy.

He doesn’t forgive reluctantly. He made a way for us to be reconciled to Him because He loves us.

At the cross, justice and mercy met. Jesus took our sin, and God opened the way home.

Carole’s latest devotion, “The Pleasure of the Lord,” is a powerful reminder of what the Gospel really is -and why we don’t need to change it, improve it, or make it more appealing.

We simply need to believe it.
