What would the world look like if we couldn’t speak out against injustice or advocate for the changes we want to see?

Join seasoned activists Annie Leonard and André Carothers for a powerful conversation around *Protest: Respect It Defend It Use It*, a visually rich and deeply timely book celebrating the impact of peaceful collective action throughout history.

Friday in Denver and Saturday in Boulder at Patagonia stores. (See comments for links).

From workers’ rights and civil rights to environmental protections and marriage equality, peaceful protest has helped shape many of the freedoms and protections we rely on today. Through iconic campaigns, photography, storytelling, and reflections from voices including Jane Fonda, Dolores Huerta, Justin Pearson, and Nemonte Nenquimo, this event invites us to reflect on the role protest plays in a healthy democracy — and the role each of us can play in shaping the future.

We are still reflecting on the magic of last week's Songs For a Sacred Earth. The way this community connected was truly moving. One attendee shared a sentiment that really captured the heart of the experience:

"In a time where life can feel like an echo chamber, and where groups are made to feel like we’re in some sort of fight between another, this orientation was so uplifting and strengthening; the hope that was built in community is a great thing."

This is exactly why we gather. In a world that can feel divided, finding "hope built in community" is how we sustain the work of caring for our sacred Earth. Let’s carry this strength and connection with us as we continue this important work.

Two days to go!

We are finishing our look at the performers for Songs for a Sacred Earth with Morgan Brown, a q***r activist, organizer, poet, and musician.

Morgan’s work is rooted in intersectional environmentalism and elevating youth voices. As a performer, they use poetry and protest songs to support collective action. We are especially excited for Morgan to lead a NOENEMIES call-and-response song circle during the event, creating a shared, participatory space where we can all sing together.

We’ll see you there on Thursday!

It’s not too late to join us. Get your tickets here:

The week is finally here! As we move into the final days of preparation for *Songs for a Sacred Earth*, we’re featuring Ayse (Ay'shay) Durmus.

Ayse is an educator and a PhD student whose work is dedicated to building understanding across cultures. As an active volunteer with Mosaic, she supports interfaith gatherings that foster deep community connection.

During the event on Thursday, Ayse will be sharing the poetry of Rumi. Her contribution is an invitation to pause and reflect on our relationship with the Earth, encouraging a deeper sense of belonging and care for the world around us. We are so grateful to have her voice as part of this collective experience.

We hope you’ll join us on the 23rd at 4:30pm to experience Ayse and the rest of the group in person.

With less than a week left to Songs for a Sacred Earth, we're excited to introduce our next performer, Eric McEuen.

Eric is a musician and music minister who describes himself as a "jack of many trades." No matter the context, he is dedicated to bringing a sense of humanity and compassion to his work and his community.

Eric is one of the many contributors bringing their unique perspective to this collaborative evening. His presence adds a layer of sincerity and groundedness to the ensemble that we think you’ll really appreciate hearing in person.

We hope you’ll join us to hear Eric and the rest of the group share their work.

We are just seven days away from Songs for a Sacred Earth. As the countdown continues, we’re highlighting Reshawn Edison, an Indigenous community leader and practitioner from Diné Bikéyah (Navajo Nation).

As an anthropologist and President of the Heska Makoche Tyospiye Native American Church of Colorado, Reshawn’s work centers on cultural knowledge and social equity. Through the indigenous practices he carries forward, he connects people to water and land in a way that emphasizes our shared responsibility to the world around us.

Reshawn brings a necessary, grounded perspective to this group, and his work is a vital part of the conversation we are building for this event.

We hope you’ll join us to hear Reshawn and the rest of the group share their work in person.
