Last week, the Plaza of the Americas officially broke ground 🪏

More than 20 years in the making, this project marks an exciting new chapter for Downtown Denver — bringing secure bike storage, public art, green space, play features, and community gathering infrastructure to the heart of the city.

For the Biennial, this plaza represents the connectivity, culture, and community of the Americas. We’re proud to have helped activate the space over the years through public art, cultural programming, and shared experiences — and excited to see this vision continue to take shape alongside our partners.

Here’s to a new chapter for gathering, movement, and connection in Downtown Denver.

One of the coolest parts of our Culture Trips? Meeting incredible people around the world… and bringing those connections back home with us 🌎

On our recent Guatemala Culture Trip, we discovered the work of Guatemalan artist and filmmaker Verónica Riedel at the Bienal de Arte Paiz, whose immersive installations explore ecology, regeneration, and our relationship to the environment through bio-materials, film, and experimental media.

Now, she’s coming to Colorado next week.

Verónica will join us for our Guatemala Happy Hour and our upcoming “Water, Science & Art” Roundtable - continuing conversations that started thousands of miles away and connecting artists, researchers, creatives, and community leaders here in Colorado.

This is why we travel. Not just to see new places, but to build real relationships, discover inspiring voices, and create opportunities for collaboration long after the trip ends.

Consider this your sign to come on one of our trips with us…you never know what connections might follow ✈️✨

A beautiful day on Colfax. ❤️

This weekend, our Culture Club community came together to support 8 incredible local businesses along Colfax — exploring the flavors, shops, and stories that make this corridor so vibrant.

From Café de Olla and tequeños to vintage finds, cocktails, churros, and more, every stop was a reminder of the power of showing up for local communities.

Thank you to everyone who crawled with us and helped support these amazing neighborhood staples. Here’s to culture, connection, and keeping our support rooted locally. ✨

Join us for an evening of film, dialogue, and cultural conversation at the Denver premiere of BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions this month at the MCA Holiday Theater.

The Biennial of the Americas is partnering with Sundance Film Festival, MCA Denver, and MATTER for an evening centered around film, conversation, and community—featuring a social hour, bookstore pop-up, and post-film dialogue with voices across film, design, and culture.

Adapted from Kahlil Joseph’s renowned video installation, the film is a cinematic experience shaped by the sonic textures of an album—interweaving fiction and history through artists, cultural figures, archival footage, and digital voices in a layered vision of Black consciousness.

Our Culture Club May Event has us stepping (and crawling) into East Colfax, one of Denver’s most layered corridors.
We’re together for a mile-long journey through the places that give the street its pulse: snacks, sips, music, movement, and the people behind it all.

Colfax’s culture lives in its small, local businesses—from the vinyl spinning and fresh flautas to jiu-jitsu demos and hidden gems. Whether you’re starting with a café de olla at Viva! Mexi-Coffee or ending with a toast at Yaqui, showing up for these spaces keeps the city’s energy alive.

If you’ve been thinking about joining Culture Club, this is your moment. Come be part of a community that gets out, supports local, and experiences the city in a way that actually connects.

And just like that—the 2026 Americas Summit comes to a close.

Over four days in Panama City, we moved across 20+ venues with 100+ delegates and 60 speakers, tracing the intersections of infrastructure, culture, innovation, and global exchange.

From the Panama Canal to the streets of Casco Viejo, from Ciudad del Saber to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, from museum conversations to coffee tastings, long-table lunches, and late-night celebrations. Each space shaped the dialogue in its own way.

We gathered in historic sites, innovation hubs, restaurants, and cultural spaces to experience the city not just as a backdrop, but as a collaborator in the work.

What unfolded wasn’t just conversation, it was connection, perspective, and the beginning of something ongoing.

To our sponsors and circle members — thank you for making this experience possible and for investing in the power of exchange across the Americas.

To our delegates, speakers, partners, and in-country collaborators— thank you for the openness, insight, and energy you brought to this week.

And to our team, what a moment!

An ending that carries momentum forward ❤️✨🌎
