Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day—a day to honor the rich cultures, histories, resilience, and ongoing leadership of Indigenous peoples.

Instead of speaking over Indigenous voices, we are using our platform today to point toward work led by Native communities. We encourage you to follow, learn from, and support leaders such as Native American Rights Fund, Denver Indian Center, and Spirit of the Sun.

Ways to Learn & Support:

Learn about the 48 Tribes: Find the official list from History Colorado and the Colorado Commission of Indian Affairs.

Educational Resources: Explore Indigenous cultures and history through the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI).

Flashback to an absolute rockstar in action! 📸✨

Looking back at Jessie’s time as an AmeriCorps member serving with eeCorps Denver Audubon, our hearts are just overflowing with gratitude. From leading outdoor discoveries to bringing endless energy, patience, and creativity to their host site, she made a lasting impact on our community and inspired so many young learners to fall in love with nature. 🌲🐸🎒

That’s the beauty of service with eeCorps: our members give so much to our communities, but the service term also gives back to them.

It’s a place to cultivate real-world skills, build a local network, find your voice as an educator, and step into your full potential. 🌱✨

And speaking of stepping into your power... WE ARE SO PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THATJESSIE HAS OFFICIALLY LANDED A FULL-TIME EE POSITION RIGHT HERE IN OUR COMMUNITY! 🎉🙌🏔️

Watching our members transform from passionate emerging leaders into thriving, full-time environmental professionals in Colorado is the ultimate win. Jessie, thank you for everything you gave during your term, and congratulations on this amazing next chapter. Our EE community is so lucky to have you staying close by! 💚🥾

Flashback Friday to Emily D.’s service, last term! 📸

These 4 pictures are only scratching the surface of the impact Emily D. had on learners in our community. Because of Emily D.'s passion and profound choice to serve, more students were connected to nature, got to explore their wonder, and got the chance to look up to a nature mentor!
