Pups of the Day: 2nd half of our Bonded Pair 🐾 Meet Betsy, the sweetest “nanny dog” you’ll ever meet! She even helped raise her BFF Mabel’s puppies. Betsy is patient, gentle, and adores everyone she meets. She’s happiest snuggled up to her pup pals, and she’ll shower every member of your family with devoted attention. Pure love, wrapped in fur! 💕

Betsy’s highlights:
🛋️ Cuddle champ: loves burrowing into pillows and couches
🧸 Stuffie enthusiast: prances around the yard with her favorites
🐕 Dog park pro: great with all the off-leash pups at Chatfield
👶 Great with kiddos once she warms up
🎓 Smart cookie: housetrained, crate-friendly, and quick to learn
🦮 Leash star: a little patience and a good harness turned her into a walking pro!
🏃‍♀️ Loves a good game of tag... but an even better napper!

Betsy has been learning to trust people & enjoy being a dog, she’s blossoming every day!

Betsy is heartworm positive, but treatment is very successful and totally manageable. MHLRM will cover the cost at one of our approved vets, and her treatment has already begun! Dogs go on to live happy, normal lives afterward, so don’t let this stop you from falling in love. ❤️

Pups of the Day: BONDED PAIR ALERT: Mabel & Betsy 🐾
Found in the TX wilds, Mabel & her BFF Betsy have been through a lot. Now they’re ready for a soft landing, and they’d love to go together! 💛

Mabel is sweet, goofy & a little shy at first. She’s come SO far in her foster home & will bond deeply with her humans once she trusts you.
✨ Great with dogs (she loves a game of tag!)
✨ She ignored her foster kitty completely 😹
✨ House & crate trained
✨ Super treat motivated
✨ Walks nicely on a harness
✨ Equally happy to play or snooze!

Mabel can be shy with new people, so kids should be patient & respect her pace. She can get spooked now & then and is a bit of an escape artist… so a secure yard is a must! 😝
❤️‍🩹 Heartworm positive? No problem! Treatment is very successful, and MHLRM covers the cost at an approved vet. Her treatment has already started, and dogs go on to live happy, normal lives afterward.

🌟Alumni Spotlight: Meet Gus!🌟

This guy has been living his best life post rescue and we couldn’t be happier to receive his pupdate.🐾

He came to us with a heart-worm positive diagnosis, a broken tooth and wounds that would break your heart. That hasn’t stopped this boy from living his Colorado life to fullest!

Enjoying all of the of the bed snuggles💤
Playing with unlimited tennis balls🎾
Swimming to his heart’s content💦

AND… he is now heartworm negative! Thank you to his amazing adopters for taking great care of this good boy.🦴 We love seeing our alumni thrive!

Pup of the Day: Corona 3 years old. Her story started rough, but we know it will end with a loving family! She was pulled off the euthanasia list at the last minute (due to space) with her 6 puppies after being red-coded three times!! MHLM stepped in, and now it’s time to find this girl a home 🏡

Now that her babies are weaned, Corona’s inner puppy is running the show 😆
🩴Professional shoe thief. Corona hides her foster mom’s sandals and thinks it’s the funniest joke ever.
🫡 Neighborhood watch captain. She’s the cutest little nosy neighbor and takes her window duties very seriously.
👅 Kiss machine. She will happily cover you in smooches.
👶🏼Tiny human fan. She follows her foster family’s 5-year-old everywhere like a shadow.
🐶 She’s great with other dogs, but needs a cat-free home.

Corona is the perfect mix of sweet, cuddly, silly, & playful. Basically, she’s your new best friend (who may also be holding your left shoe hostage) 😆

➡️Don’t ask us how, but our girl Zoey is still waiting for her chance at adoption. With all the love she has to give, her smarts, and her desire to please… how is she sitting with not a family in sight?!

Zoey came to us looking for a 2️⃣nd chance at forever and has been absolutely thriving in her foster home while she waits. She’s happy go lucky, trained, adores all humans, and will never say no to a walk. 🦮

Zoey doesn’t ask for much! Playtime, snacks, and cuddles will make her day. 🐾Truly, this little lady is a winning pick and will make any adoptive family as happy as can be!

Pup of the day: Tinkerbelle, 2 months old.✨

Serving you some fairy dog-mother energy💫, Tink is ready to sprinkle love into your life! This little cutie has flown into Colorado full speed ahead, getting spoiled in her foster home and spreading smiles wherever she goes!🧚🏻

Tink is a goofy girl that can either match a dog’s playful energy, or simply lay around content with life. She currently lives with a furry foster brother and has been having the BEST time. Safe to say this girl is dog friendly!🐾

She loves snacks and cuddles (who doesn’t?!) and can often be found snuggling up to doggy or human friends. At this age, she is suspected to be great with kids and cats. Proper introductions are a must!🗣️

Yep, you guessed it! Training is in progress for Miss Thing, as there is so much to learn at this young age. However, Tink is a bit too small for leash walks right now and is practicing “no paws on the ground” to stay safe.🥰 Wouldn’t it be nice if she could just fly everywhere?

Pup of the Day: Forest 1 years old 🖤
Forest is friendly through & through (we’re pretty sure she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body!) and she LOVES her dog buddies!

Playtime is her favorite thing!! 🐶
Pulled from a high-kill shelter in Houston just in time 😥 Forest & her two lab siblings are now ready to become Colorado mountain pups! 🏔️
✨ Great with other dogs
✨ Food-motivated and eager to learn, so training is a breeze (and in progress!)
✨ Fantastic on leash, with a nice loose lead... unless a bunny or squirrel appears. Then all bets are off! 🐿️🤪
✨ Best in a cat-free home
✨ Not yet fostered with kids, but with a personality this sweet, we think she’d do great!
