When the water is up you can usually find our team out and playing all through Millrace!

We are so fortunate to have such a gem right here in Downtown Columbia. Millrace rapid serves as our home base and training ground for all of our classes. Whether we're up at Stacey's ledge, running Millrace, or playing in pop-up hole there is always a spot to work on skills and have fun.

Meet Adam! One of this Spring's lead instructors.

Adam got his first taste of boating in 2019. Four years later, he leveled up with an instructor certification in 2023. Adam's love of kayaking has taken him across the country and beyond, but his favorite southeast river is the Tellico.

After paddling? Favorite food stop has to be Rocky’s. Favorite Paddle stroke? A low brace (it's impressive for sure)!

We're sure you'll all get to know Adam and if you're in the class have the opportunity to learn from his kind teaching approach, love of boofs, and best and worst jokes on the river.

Past 101 students: feeling a little FOMO? It's not too late to sign up for 102! Classes begin May 17th and we have a very limited number of spots left. Signups are available on the website.
