Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to rescue senior dogs aged 7 and older. We do not have a shelter.

We are a volunteer-driven, donor-funded organization. All dogs are fostered.

✨ Meet Penny! ✨

At 10 years old, Penny the Wheaten Terrier has mastered the art of being the perfect companion. 💛 At 26 pounds, she’s the ideal size for couch cuddles, neighborhood walks, and following her favorite person from room to room.

Life hasn’t always been easy for Penny. After losing both of her beloved owners and experiencing a few difficult transitions, she’s looking for what she’s wanted all along: a stable, loving home where she can finally relax and know she’s safe.

She does experience some separation anxiety, so she’ll do best with someone who is home often and willing to help her continue building confidence when left alone.

Hi! I’m Toby, a 7–8 year old, 26 lb mini Border Collie mix 🐾. I was found in Portland blind and underweight, and later had my eyes removed due to glaucoma. I’ve healed well and I’m learning to navigate the world 💪

I’m smart 🧠
• Mapped my foster home
• Come when called (at home)
• Sit like a pro (especially for treats 😄)

I love people ❤️ Full-body wiggles, quick bonding, and happiest right by your side.

Outside is still a bit scary 🌎 Since I can’t see, sounds can feel big. I need a patient, understanding human to help build my confidence. A calm dog buddy could help too 🐕

I love tug toys, bones, Kongs, and cozy couch naps 🛋️ I sleep in my own bed and take daily meds like a champ 💊

What I need: patience, kindness, and someone who sees my potential. Because even though I can’t see you, I will love you with everything I have 💛
