The complex is expected to generate $200 million in tax revenue over 20 years for Van Wert, according to city and company officials. The $10 billion QTS campus also promises 1,500 construction jobs and 200 permanent positions in northwest Ohio.

Prevailing wage laws level the playing field for everyone. ✅

Workers get the fair pay and protections they deserve. Local communities see their tax dollars reinvested right back into the region. And contractors who do things the right way, properly classifying their workforce and paying fair wages, can compete without being undercut by those who don't.

Davis-Bacon works for workers, communities, and responsible contractors alike. And in most cases, it saves taxpayers money by improving the quality of work, reducing costly mistakes, and decreasing workers' reliance on public assistance.👏

It's simple. Taxpayer-funded projects should benefit local workers and economies and reward good-faith contracting and bidding.💪

Congratulations!

Last night we celebrated the newest journeyman wiremen and women of IBEW Local 306. 41 new Inside Wireman Journeyman and 5 Residential Journeyman Wireman received their diplomas and were recognized for their hard work over the course of their apprenticeships. In total, the group completed over 31,000 hours of related technical training in the classroom, and worked over 340,000 hours in their on the job training assignments. Thank you to all the families and friends of the graduates, our IBEW Local 306 and North Central Ohio NECA Chapter partners, our industry partners Milwaukee Tools, Klein Tools, and Wolff Brothers Supply, and to our staff and instructors for joining us in celebrating the graduates last night. Congratulations to all the graduating apprentices on a job well done!
