STI stigma is real—so say what you mean! You either have an STI or you don’t; there’s no need to characterize yourself any differently.

House Bill 347 received its first hearing in the Senate Health Committee earlier this week. One of the bill’s sponsors, Ohio Representative Josh Williams, said the above quote while answering questions from Senators about his testimony.

HB 347 would reinstate the 24-hour waiting period for abortion care, a barrier that the courts already found unconstitutional. It would also require health care providers to give patients government mandated misinformation before being able to receive an abortion.

Research shows that the vast majority of parents–regardless of political ideology, religion, race, culture, class, or geography—want their kids’ education to include s*x education. ⤵️

Even so, many young people are not getting the information and decision-making skills their parents know they deserve. In Ohio, continued attacks on s*x education like HB 485 and SB 310 only seek to worsen our unstandardized curriculum.
