City of Greer Parks, Recreation & Tourism's The Edward R. Driggers City of Greer Center for the Arts and Palmetto Luna are honored to present Honrando la memoria da tus seres queridos/Honoring the Memory of Our Loved Ones, a special exhibition celebrating the rich cultural traditions of Hispanic Heritage Month and Day of the Dead.

Through painting, sculpture, mixed media, and contemporary folk art, this exhibition explores the universal themes of memory, legacy, love, and connection across generations. Drawing from Palmetto Luna's Latino Arts Collection alongside works from additional regional artists, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the people who have shaped our lives and the ways their stories continue to inspire us.

Far from being a celebration of loss, Honoring Our Loved Ones embraces the vibrant spirit of remembrance that is central to Day of the Dead. The works on display honor the enduring presence of family, ancestors, and community while showcasing the creativity, beauty, and cultural richness that define Latino artistic traditions.

The exhibit features 23 SC Latino artists including Ivan Segura, Yulian Martinez, Alejandro Garcia-Lemos, Francisco Diaz, Luz Celeste Figueroa, Daniel Andreu, Freddy Ahuejote, Gage Coleman, Laura Lesslo, Dre Lopez, Yelitza Diaz, Diana Farfan, Marilyn Oliveros, Aldo Muzzarelli, Moises Sanchez, Kiko Hernandez, Ernesto Cuevas Jr, Kanae Goji, Julio Cesar Morales, Jose Romero, Orlando Corona, and Irene MorT.

We invite you and your community to join us for a special reception on Tuesday, October 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Edward R. Driggers City of Greer Center for the Arts, 804 Trade Street, Greer, SC. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the exhibition, meet fellow art enthusiasts, and celebrate the power of art to connect us across time, memory, and culture.

The exhibition is on display from October 1st through the 30th. Thank you for helping us share and celebrate the artistic voices, traditions, and stories that continue to enrich our communities.

Palmetto Luna Arts is looking for 10 artists for our outdoor market during the Día de Mu***os celebration at the Columbia Museum of Art on Saturday, November 7!

Selected artists receive a $150 stipend and there are only four days left to apply! Deadline: September 14, 2026
