We are SO excited to finally share with you all the total from our baby bottle fundraising campaign. The results are in, the last dollar counted, and you guys are AMAZING!! 🤩 When we all give a little, it amounts to a LOT. $40,782.70 to be exact. We simply cannot thank you all enough -all of you who gave, the churches who keep participating year after year, new churches who joined this year -THANK YOU! You have no idea what this means to our clients, to their babies, their families, their life. You are truly such a blessing to our organization! 🩵💙🤍

We love being in the heart of a college town. We have a major, SEC research university right down the street, but several other colleges as well! Wishing all of our new neighbors a happy and healthy move-in and school year. A very special THANK YOU to Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington for this bounty! Their Women’s Group hosted a shower for Birthright and we were so blessed by their food, their prayers, their testimonies and the abundance of baby items brought in! We were brought to tears by their outpouring of love for our clients and just how richly God has blessed our organization. Thank you so much!

Earlier this week we had a visit from sweet John Washington (in red) from Saint Joseph Catholic School who completed a summer service project for Student Council. He raised more than $500 dollars for Birthright by selling lemonade to family and friends. With the help of mom, Katie, they went on a shopping spree- during the tax free weekend no less -and turned all the funds into much needed baby items for Birthright. We are so grateful to churches, schools and families who are showing children what service to others really means!! Thank you, Washingtons!

The pillow in the second photograph is correct -we are certainly “beyond blessed” by the Needles of Faith group at Columbia’s First Nazarene Church. 🤗 Seen here are some of the precious sweaters, hats and booties they hand-made for our clients. There are some very talented knitters there who dedicate their time to making these adorable outfits! If you’d like to help but don’t know how to knit -consider making a yarn donation! 🧶 We promise it will not go unused. ☺️

💙 Meet Bonnie.💙 Bonnie has been such a valuable asset to our team of volunteers! She is always looking for ways to help out, and everything she does - she does with a smile. Unfortunately for us, her time at Birthright has come to an end, and while we think Bonnie is irreplaceable...we are indeed looking for some new volunteers! How could we ever thank our amazing team of office volunteers? There is no way to adequately show just how much we appreciate them - but we will keep trying by planning fun outings like our upcoming event at Segra Park! If you happen to be cheering on the Fireflies live on August 29, be sure to look for us on the big screen! This is just one small way we let our volunteers know how valuable they are to us. We finally have a date! Our next Newborn Care & Breastfeeding Class will be Wednesday, August 19, here at our office, from 10am - 12pm. The SC Thrive team came to visit us this past week, and shared with our team all the resources they are able to provide our clients with. They connect with resource partners like Birthright primarily to coordinate and mainstream the application process for Medicaid, SNAP, TANF etc. It’s a process that can feel frustrating at times, especially for a pregnant mom who is already feeling a bit overwhelmed. SC Thrive is changing that, by helping clients gain access to these much needed services. Thank you for stopping by, and thank you for all you do to help our clients and their babies. 💙💙💙
