We extend our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and allies of Harriet Hancock, who died this afternoon just days shy of her 90th birthday. Hers was a life well-lived, dedicated to family, equality, and true community. She was there when the Network was started in 1996, informing us on how to be inclusive in our new organization.

In 2003, we honored her with our Thunder and Lightning Award. This is a clip of Tony Snell singing her praises and Harriet accepting the award.

Link to a booklet about her extraordinary life in the comments.
