As our movement continues to strengthen, our team has expanded to include Trevor Garrett in the newly created VP of development role at the home office in Colorado Springs. Trevor brings a wealth of nonprofit experience, energy, and expertise that will help us construct a strong foundation of donors and infrastructure to continue building momentum. On July 31, 2026, the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley sealed an America 250 Time Capsule filled with letters, photos, stories, keepsakes, and messages from the people who make their ministry possible. Sealed in the Mission’s ceiling until July 2051, it will give future generations a glimpse of how their community came together to serve neighbors facing homelessness, hunger, and hardship—and to share the hope of Jesus Christ.

"The contents of this time capsule represent far more than memorabilia," said Lynn Wyant, Chief Development Officer. "They tell the story of a community coming together to offer hope, demonstrate compassion, and transform lives through the love of Christ. We are honored to preserve these memories for those who will open the capsule 25 years from now."
