The RiseUP Elevation Challenge may have wrapped up, but the impact created by our participants, donors, and supporters continues.

As Devan shared:
“Every gift made through the Elevation Challenge helps turn impossibilities into actual possibilities.”

That is exactly what this Challenge was about: bringing people together, creating momentum, and helping expand opportunities for the individuals RiseUP serves.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the talent, contributions, and potential of people with disabilities in the workplace. 💙🧡

At RiseUP, we believe meaningful employment is about so much more than a job. It can build confidence, independence, purpose, choice, and connection.

Through person-centered support, skill development, and real-world opportunities, we help individuals work toward goals that are meaningful to them and build greater independence along the way.

Because when people are given the opportunity to contribute, grow, and be included, everyone benefits.

WE DID IT. 💙🧡🏔️

The 2026 RiseUP Elevation Challenge is officially complete, and the final numbers tell an incredible story about what can happen when a community decides to rise together.

This September:
🏔️ 68 participants took the Challenge
👟 549.22 miles were logged
⬆️ 104,995 feet of elevation were climbed
💙 $7,648 was raised

But these numbers represent so much more than miles, elevation, and dollars.

They represent people showing up.
Trying something new.
Encouraging one another.
Sharing stories.
Supporting our community.

And turning individual goals into collective impact.

To every participant, donor, partner, sponsor, volunteer, family member, and supporter who helped make this possible:

Play has a remarkable ability to bring people together.

We’re excited to spotlight the Air O Sport Foundation as part of the RiseUP Elevation Challenge.

At its best, play isn’t about age, background, or being the most athletic person in the room. It’s about movement, laughter, connection, and having a reason to participate together.

That idea fits perfectly with the spirit of the Elevation Challenge: more ways to move, more ways to connect, and more ways for people to feel included.

From kids to adults and across generations, opportunities for shared recreation can strengthen communities in surprisingly powerful ways.

Today is the FINAL day of the RiseUP Elevation Challenge! ⛰️💙🧡
If you’ve been climbing, hiking, walking, rolling, moving, or making progress all month long, now is the time to make sure all of your elevation and distance are logged today, September 30.

Every step, every mile, and every bit of elevation counts, and we want to make sure your hard work is reflected before the challenge closes out.

Please take a few minutes to submit your final results in GiveSignup so everything can be officially tallied. Let’s finish strong, RiseUP family! 🙌

What happens when we stop asking whether an adventure is possible and start asking what support will make it possible?

That question comes to life through the work of The Lockwood Foundation.

Their adaptive mountain experiences bring volunteers together to help people access outdoor adventures that traditional terrain and equipment might otherwise place out of reach.

During this year’s RiseUP Elevation Challenge, we had the opportunity to watch that mission in action around their Mt. Elbert effort — an extraordinary example of teamwork, determination, access, and community.

Because sometimes helping someone climb their mountain requires an entire team willing to climb alongside them.

A little love for some of the incredible people who help make RiseUP stronger every day. 💙

This month, we’re giving a special shoutout to Aria, Richard, Cory, and Cassie for the care, consistency, professionalism, and heart they bring to their roles.

Whether they’re teaching, providing direct support, coordinating care, or helping individuals and families navigate everyday needs, each of them plays an important part in bringing the RiseUP mission to life.

Today is September 28, which means September 30 is almost here. Before we close out an incredible month, make sure ALL of your elevation and distance have been entered into GiveSignUp, so your final Challenge totals can be counted.
🏔️ Climbed elevation you haven’t logged yet? Add it.
👟 Miles still sitting in your tracker? Add them.
📱 Forgot to record a previous activity? Now is the time to catch up.

Your final results help us celebrate everything this community accomplished and determine our Elevation Challenge award recipients!

Now is the time to make sure you’ve logged ALL of your elevation and distance so every foot, mile, and step you’ve completed this month counts toward your final Challenge total.
