Breakthrough Public Schools Breakthrough Public Schools is the highest-rated network of free, nonprofit public charter schools.

In 2010, three of the top-performing public schools in Cleveland joined together to launch Breakthrough Schools, a network of like-minded K-8 schools working together to make sure every child in Cleveland has access to at least one high-quality public school. So far, Breakthrough Schools has opened 8 new schools in Glenville, Hough, University Circle, St Clair - Superior, Collinwood, Lee Harvard, Union Miles, and Cudell. Breakthrough Schools is a 100% nonprofit network of schools, recently ranked #11 nationally and #1 in Ohio by CREDO at Stanford University.

Here are a few important dates to remember:

✔️ Friday, October 16: Last day of Quarter 1
✔️ Friday, October 30: Report cards go home with scholars
✔️ Fall Family Conferences: Thursday, November 12 | 4:30–6:30P OR Friday, November 13 | 9A–3P

Breakthrough was proud to join educators, leaders, alumni, and changemakers from across the country in celebrating TFA's 35 years of impact.

We loved reconnecting with TFA alumni, sharing ideas about the future of education, and seeing the thoughtful responses to our prompts about what every child deserves and what makes great teaching.

We were also proud to see our CEO, Dr. Andrew McRae, take the stage to explore how we can build organizations worthy of extraordinary people’s commitment.

We loved connecting with fellow educators, leaders, alumni, and partners—and sharing a little Cleveland pride along the way.
