Happy Anniversary to The Arcade! ✨

Opened on May 30, 1890, The Arcade Cleveland was one of America’s first indoor shopping centers and quickly earned the nickname Cleveland’s Crystal Palace. Modeled after Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, it was financed by some of Cleveland’s most prominent figures, including John D. Rockefeller.

New photos offer a first look at the evolution of “Meet Me Here” plaza at East 4th Street and Huron Road, featuring a Cavs-branded full-size basketball court, greenspace, seating and public art honoring the Cavaliers’ 2016 NBA Championship.
 
Located across from Rocket Arena and next to the future Cosm Cleveland, the plaza is expected to be completed by June 1, 2026.

Ohio City’s long-awaited Bridgeworks project is officially moving ahead. 🏗️

Financing has closed on the $82 million development near the Detroit-Superior Bridge, clearing the way for construction to begin this summer after years of planning and redesigns.

The project will bring 219 apartments, retail space, rooftop amenities, public pickleball courts and new connections to Irishtown Bend and the lakefront trail network.

A major new healthcare innovation accelerator is launching in Cleveland. 🚀

Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), a global nonprofit supporting science- and technology-based startups, is launching CDL-Cleveland in partnership with Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals.

The new site will host CDL’s Healthcare Delivery stream and is the first CDL site anchored to a health system, focused on helping early-stage ventures develop technologies that reduce costs, improve patient outcomes and accelerate innovation in real clinical environments.
