It’s the final Saturdays from Severance for this season tonight on WCLV. We’ll hear The Cleveland Orchestra perform excerpts from Wagner’s Götterdämmerung, Prokofiev’s ‘Classical’ Symphony conducted by Franz Welser-Möst. Plus, the clarinet concerto Zones of Blue by living Austrian composer Olga Neuwirth with triple-threat soloist Jörg Widmann, who has had a chance these past weeks to display his talents as composer, conductor, and clarinetist! That’s tonight at 7:30 for Saturdays from Severance here on WCLV!

It is with deep sadness that we let you know of Michael Tilson Thomas’s passing on April 22, 2026. In 2021, Michael was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive type of brain cancer. Through his illness he continued to make music—a testament to his legacy as an artist and communicator. He was preceded in death by his husband Joshua Robison, and passed away at home surrounded by loved ones and family. Joshua and Michael are survived by their sisters, nieces and nephews. 💙

Please join us for a very special edition of If It Ain't Baroque tomorrow morning as we highlight the most recent album from Les Délices called "Arcadian Dreams!" Hannah De Priest, soprano speaks with host John Mills about her career and her recording debut. The album is full of colorful and virtuosic baroque cantatas by well-known names like Rameau and Handel, as well as works by lesser-known composers like Thomas-Luis Bourgeois. Tune in Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. for "Arcadian Dreams" on If It Ain't Baroque!

The April 25 "Saturdays from Severance" broadcast of The Cleveland Orchestra concert featuring Benjamin Britten’s "War Requiem" has, unfortunately, been cancelled. The next "Saturdays from Severance" broadcast will take place May 9 at 7:30 p.m.
