More than 1,000 people signed up to join us at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for our 38th Annual Walk & 5K Run for Hunger, where we enjoyed beautiful weather, amazing energy, and a community that showed up in a big way. 👟☀️💚

Thank you to every participant, volunteer, sponsor, donor, and supporter who made the Walk & 5K Run for Hunger such a success.

💔 FoRK — Hunger Network’s future Food Rescue Kitchen — recently lost more than $15,000 worth of kitchen equipment, cookware, supplies, and restaurant essentials in the Cleveland Sussen storage facility fire.

But even after this devastating setback, Roger, our Food Rescue Program Director, Chef Shane and Sous Chef Dusty are still showing up and continuing to build FoRK every single day.

Right now, they’re testing recipes, preparing meals, and beginning the process of bringing FoRK to life with extremely limited resources — relying on a very small remaining inventory of kitchen essentials and even contributing some of their own personal kitchen items to keep things moving forward. What they’re continuing to accomplish with so little is nothing short of incredible. 💚🍏

FoRK was created to transform rescued food into nourishing, chef-crafted meals for our community while reducing food waste — and we’re determined to keep moving forward.

We’ve created an Amazon Wishlist to help replace the kitchen and restaurant items lost in the fire.

🏀 Hometown Hunger Heroes showed up BIG today!

A huge thank you to the Cleveland Cavaliers and the amazing Cavs Care team for bringing the energy, excitement, and community spirit to Hunger Network’s MidTown Market!

Sir CC, members of the Cavs organization, and the dance team spent the day helping our client's shop, greeting families, taking photos, and making the market feel extra special ahead of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals! 🙌

We appreciate the Cavs' commitment to ending hunger in our community. Thanks for helping us create a fun, welcoming experience for our neighbors today!

🍏💚 Ohio’s first-ever Food Recovery Impact Report is here!

Hunger Network is proud to be part of the Ohio Food Rescue Collaborative — organizations across the state working together to recover surplus food and fight hunger in our communities.

Together, participating organizations helped recover 150.7 million pounds of food and distributed 271.5 million pounds across all 88 Ohio counties.

This report highlights the incredible impact that’s possible when communities, partners, volunteers, and food recovery organizations come together around one shared mission.

📬💚 A huge thank you to the National Association of Letter Carriers, NALC Branch 40 - Cleveland, and everyone who participated in this year’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. 🍏

Hunger Network was grateful to receive donated food collected through this incredible community effort—support that will help us continue serving neighbors across Northeast Ohio experiencing food insecurity.

Since launching in 1993, Stamp Out Hunger has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive — a powerful reminder of what communities can accomplish together.

Thank you to the postal workers, NALC volunteers, local branches, and every person who took the time to leave a donation by their mailbox. Your generosity truly makes a difference. 💚
