🤝🏼SC4K was honored to be chosen as a site for KeyBank's Neighbors Make The Difference Day yesterday. On this day each year, KeyBank teammates contribute their time and talents to local nonprofit organizations to give back to their local communities. Our 5 new Summer Interns joined in the fun, counting pencils alongside volunteers during their first group volunteer experience.

What a moment! ⚾🎉

In April, our incredible Board Member Sarah Paris had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at a Cleveland Guardians game on behalf of our friends at Swagelok!

But what made it extra special? The announcer took a moment to share Sarah's passion for SC4K and shine a light on the work we do every day for kids in our community.

In a city that shows up BIG for its sports teams, this kind of visibility means everything. Every bit of awareness helps us reach more kids and families who need us.

This school year, we had the privilege of once again hosting 4 student interns from the Saint Martin de Porres High School Work Study Program, and last week they gave a Presentation to our staff! 🎉

Each student shared their job responsibilities, reflected on what they learned from their supervisors, and even showcased a creative component (a prayer, original poems, and artwork).🎨✍🏽

We are so proud of this year's students: Amiya, Jared, Jayden, and Neico! We are also grateful for the partnership with Saint Martin de Porres.🤝🏽

Watching student interns learn and grow is one of the highlights of the school year at SC4K, not to mention the extra hands. From stocking the shelves to checking out families and teachers on shopping days, to daily administrative tasks or greeting visitors with a smile and a "How can I help you?", this year's students added sunshine and warmth to the SC4K experience and will be missed.

The future is bright! ✨
