Quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone.

We’re looking for volunteers to help make that possible. We’re asking dental, medical and women’s health professionals and community volunteers to join us at MedWish MedWorks’ annual 2-Day Dental + Medical Clinic, taking place Oct. 9 and 10 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

Last year, we saw a record number of patients over two days—and we need your help to serve even more this year. Whether you’re providing dental or medical care, making patients feel welcome, keeping things organized or lending a hand behind the scenes, your time can make a difference for our neighbors in need.

Supplies headed for the landfill can find a new purpose instead. ♻️

Last Friday, four local organizations “shopped” our Alternative Recycling program, filling 10 carts with useful supplies that might otherwise have been discarded.

Among the day’s shoppers:

-Lake County Humane Society gathered the most, taking 466 pounds of supplies to support its animal shelter.

-Medina County Career Center Adult Education picked up 187 pounds—including gloves, tourniquets, alcohol wipes and IV starter kits—to prepare labs and conduct skills training for LPN, medical and dental assistant, phlebotomy and certified nurse aide courses.

-Cleveland Department of Public Health gathered supplies for an upcoming community event.

-NewBridge Cleveland phlebotomy students searched our expired inventory for useful “treasures” to support hands-on learning.

Together, these organizations helped divert 1,163 pounds of materials from landfills and put them to use in the community.

This , we’re especially thankful for Beatrix and Samipa, our incredible summer interns!

Beatrix, a student at Carleton College, brought her passion for biology and chemistry. Samipa, a student at Solon High School through Youth Opportunities Unlimited, joined us with an interest in surgical medicine. Both arrived with curiosity and enthusiasm—and quickly became valued members of the MedWish MedWorks team!

Over the summer, Beatrix and Samipa jumped into just about every aspect of our work. They learned the documentation process for container orders, packed hand-carry supplies for local and international recipients, allocated inventory in our cloud-based system, pulled supplies for international container shipments and local giving orders, assisted with our Reprocessing Program, helped reorganize and relabel our Binventory, and researched and presented their Lunch & Learn projects.

Their impact was measurable:

✨Helped bring in more than $25,000 through our Reprocessing Program
✨Helped divert 2,000+ pounds of short-dated medical supplies to local nonprofits
✨Helped pull inventory to load six containers for international shipments
✨Updated our inventory holdings after those shipments using our cloud-based system
✨Entered 948 pages of medical records from our international brigades
✨Packed 30+ suitcases of medical supplies for those brigades

Nearly 13,000 pounds of critical medical supplies are on their way to Ukraine.

This morning, our team loaded a container valued at nearly $180,000 and filled with equipment hospitals can use to care for people impacted by the ongoing war. The shipment includes:

• 7 hospital beds
• 7 exam tables
• 1 gurney
• 3 ventilators
• 1 vital sign monitor
• 1 incubator

This is our fourth container with Nova Ukraine, a nonprofit dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and raising awareness about the country.

Together, we’re helping put essential medical resources where they’re needed most. 💙💛

This is your support in action. 🇺🇦 Another shipment of hospital medical supplies and equipment is being packed for Ukraine with our longtime partner, MedWish MedWorks.

MedWish MedWorks CEO Britta Latz and Program Officer Jacob Dzierwa joined Ukraine Aid founder Dennis and volunteers Bo and Sasha to help get these critical supplies ready to move.

To date, Ukraine Aid has shipped 150+ tons of aid, including 16 containers to 15 hospitals across Ukraine. Every box packed gets essential medical supplies one step closer to the people who need them most. Help us keep the next shipment moving.

Help make quality healthcare more accessible in our community.

This fall, MedWish MedWorks is bringing together volunteer dental, medical and women’s health professionals to provide free, compassionate care to patients of all ages. Our annual 2-Day Dental + Medical Clinic will take place Oct. 9 and 10 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

Our community’s need continues to grow, and it takes an incredible team of volunteers to meet that need. Whether you provide hands-on care, clinical support or help behind the scenes, your skills can make a lasting difference.

We’re seeking:
🔹 Dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, EFDAs, licensed radiographers and dental lab technicians
🔹 Primary care providers, internists, podiatrists, dermatologists, women’s health providers, nurse practitioners, women’s health nurses, medical triage nurses, medical assistants and lab technicians
