Youth Opportunities Unlimited is a workforce development non-profit organization based in Cleveland, Ohio that provides workforce preparation, job and internship placement, and development programs to teens and young adults ages 14-24 living in economically distressed communities.

Big news for Cleveland's young people and for Y.O.U.! 🎉

We're proud to be featured in Mayor Bibb's 2026 Summer Safety Plan. As an official partner for the City of Cleveland - City Hall Summer Soundtrack, we collaborate with the city and community partners to create meaningful summer experiences.

Summer Soundtrack is the city's initiative to connect youth and families to safe, supportive experiences all summer long from jobs and internships to learning programs and community fun. Y.O.U. is listed as a partner because we've been doing exactly that for Northeast Ohio youth ages 14–18.

With over 9,000 young people applying for summer jobs across Cleveland, there is real demand and real opportunity. We're grateful to work alongside the City and fellow partners to help meet that moment.

What a year. 💛

We just wrapped up another incredible year of JOG, Jobs for Ohio's Graduates. Our students came in, showed out, and showed UP. 🎓 There were thank-you's that brought tears to your eyes, guest speakers who spoke life into every young person in that room, plates full of good food, and one of our favorite moments, students who volunteered to speak in front of their classmates and share what they're most excited about for the next chapter of their lives.

JOG exists to make sure young people in our community don't just graduate, they thrive. And after a year like this, it's clear: mission accomplished. Again.

To every JOG graduate, we see you, we're proud of you, and we are CHEERING for everything ahead of you.

This is another successful year of JOG, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

What a moment for our Y.O.U. family! 🎉

We are so proud to share that Youth Opportunities Unlimited recently hosted our very first Internship Program Networking Event and it was everything we hoped it would be and more.

Our high school interns had the incredible opportunity to practice their professional networking and communication skills in a warm, supportive environment at our brand-new shared space. Funders, board members, Y.O.U. employees, and dedicated volunteers came together to lead structured conversations with our young people, helping them practice their introductions, interview responses, and professional presence ahead of their summer internships.

The room was filled with energy, laughter, and genuine connection. Watching our interns hold their own in professional conversations, gain confidence in real time, and receive encouragement from community leaders, it was a reminder of what Y.O.U. is all about.

To everyone who volunteered their time: thank you. You showed our young people that the community is behind them.

We have exciting news, Cleveland! Y.O.U. has a new home!

We are thrilled to share that Youth Opportunities Unlimited has moved into a brand new space, and we will be joining forces under one roof with two outstanding community organizations: Newbridge Cleveland and the Central School of Practical Nursing.

This shared space represents something bigger than a new address, it's a hub of education, opportunity, and community investment, all in one place.

🎭 Dobama Theatre is back as a Y.O.U. internship partner and we couldn't be more excited!

Last summer, Lauren (a senior at Cleveland School of the Arts) got her very first professional work experience through the Y.O.U. Internship Program, a personalized, behind-the-scenes look at how a real theater company operates.

Every Dobama internship is tailored to the student. No cookie-cutter summers here. 👏 And this is just ONE of the many industries the Y.O.U. Internship Program covers. Whatever a young person's passion, we connect them with an experience that fits.

We are SO proud of our three Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates (JOG) students who traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah this past weekend to compete at the JAG National Career Development Conference! 🎉

These young people didn't just represent their school they represented Cleveland, their families, and every person who poured into them along the way. And they showed up with their whole hearts.

They networked with students from across the country. They faced nerves, setbacks, and moments of doubt and kept going anyway. One student even got to meet the CEO of JAG. Another said this trip was their very first business conference. All three came home different in the best way.

Here's what one of them said about the experience:

"I will remember all the bonds, deep connections, and insightful conversations I've experienced all throughout this trip."

We sat down with all three students before, during, and after the conference and their answers are honest, inspiring, and completely their own. We think you'll love reading it.

Good luck to three of our Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates students who have traveled to the National Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City! Hosted by Jobs for America’s Graduates, the conference consists of competitions, workshops and exploring the city.

Our students will be competing throughout the next few days — we can’t wait to hear all about it and are so proud as they represent Northeast Ohio at the national level!
