☀️The calendar says it's officially summer!😎

Kids at had a head start a few weeks ago when teacher-counselors held a field day on a gorgeous sunny day! Students enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities that were fun, but that also provided opportunities for hands-on, multi-sensory learning and opportunities to engage in cooperative activities.

🎓PEP Graduations, Part 5: The Grand Finale at ! 🎓

PEP Prentiss Autism Center provides mental health and special education services for young people ages 5-22 with autism and other developmental disabilities, so these graduation ceremonies are filled with proud families and teacher-counselors, and beaming students who will be moving on to other opportunities that will help them continue to grow.

Prentiss Principal Lea Kromer thanked public school district representative Patty Gunvalsen for "sending us our babies." Gunvalsen works at the Cleveland Municipal School District.

Young people from public school districts throughout the area are referred to PEP Prentiss Autism Center for an experience that can meet their needs with a highly individualized approach and staff-to-student ratio that is nearly one-to-one. 🥰

🎓PEP Graduations Part 4: !🎓

PEP Chesnutt's graduation ceremony caused more than a few happy tears as teacher-counselors described watching their student grow from a child who would barely speak to a new graduate who just received her first paycheck from her first job.

The ceremony also featured a few special guests--Board members Heather Torok and Carmen E. Brown, and a former PEP student who is currently enrolled in college and had a special message for students: "Stay strong...don't let anyone stop you from achieving greatness." 🥹💪
