PEP was happy to be at the Mental Health & Addiction Advocacy Coalition - MHAC public officials breakfast this morning - and especially happy to run into long-time PEP supporter Senator and our friends from the . We are proud to be part of a team of advocates who support mental health and services that support members of our community.

This is pretty sweet!

PEP Therapeutic Schools are participating in the Cleveland Browns-sponsored Stay in the Game Attendance Network - Browns attendance initiative, encouraging kids and families to make school attendance a priority! So staff gave kids a sweet reason to make it to school: Delicious donuts at the door! 🍩

Principal Denise Milner says treats like donuts are a simple yet powerful incentive to encourage kids to make it to school. And the genius part is that incentive days are random--if kids don't show up, they might miss something!😁

It's just one example of the larger attendance program that PEP is participating in this year. Stay tuned for more attendance stories!

🔨Students at are feeling proud, and they should! 🏗

Students worked hard these past few weeks to create community--literally and figuratively-- by building models featuring buildings, cars, buses, roads, and green spaces.

In addition to being lots of fun, the project promoted both social-emotional learning and academics as the students worked creatively and collaboratively, practicing conflict resolution and teambuilding within their groups.

The result? Just take a look at these creative models and happy faces. 🫶

PEP’s Board of Directors has endorsed Cuyahoga County’s Health and Human Services Levy.

The HHS Levy funds crucial programs and services like child protective services, mental health and addiction treatment, and early childhood investments. This November, voters decide whether that funding continues to keep pace with need.

We were thrilled to see the work of author, essayist, political activist and lawyer Charles Chesnutt celebrated at the Western Reserve Historical Center (Cleveland History Center) in a special symposium last month.

The Therapeutic School is located on the land where Charles Chesnutt once lived, and we are proud to carry his name forward.

These three well-known and published scholars presented at the symposium ( Browner, PhD: The New School; Tess Chakkalakal, PhD: Bowdoin College; Kenneth M. Price, PhD: University of Nebraska-Lincoln) and have spent time at in the past. We wanted to be sure they left town with some PEP gear!
